Dr Wong Soon Tee is a dermatology specialist practising at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. He specialises in the management and surgery of skin, nail and hair disorders such as skin cancer, viral warts and scars. Besides specialising in skin cancers, his clinical focus also includes cryosurgery for warts, sun spots and skin growth, as well as the treatment of acne, pigmentation and facial rejuvenation.
Dr Wong is a Ministry of Health (MOH) accredited dermatologist. With more than 25 years of clinical experience, Dr Wong sees patients of all ages and practises medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. He received advance skin and laser surgery training in the UK in year 2000. He has also trained in the UK in the research and management of skin cancers with the internationally renowned Imperial Cancer Research Fund (UK), and has expertise in areas of dermatologic surgery in the treatment of basal cell carcinoma, squamous cell carcinoma and malignant melanoma.
During his stay in the National University Hospital (NUH) as a dermatologist from 1991 to 2002, Dr Wong has built up vast experience in dealing with diverse skin issues caused by internal medical problems. Besides managing local and international patients of all skin, hair and nails concerns, he also built up aesthetic dermatology practice by offering evidence-based laser and minimally invasive aesthetic treatments.
Currently, he is a visiting specialist to the Aesthetic Plastic Surgery Centre and the University Dermatology Clinic in NUH, and has been an adjunct assistant professor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) since 2002.
Dr Wong has authored over 30 peer-reviewed publications in scientific and medical journals and conference contributions at national and international meetings. He plays an active role in educating the general public about medical and aesthetic skin issues through public forums, radio interviews as well as print media.
