    Chief Embryologist - Ng Lai Cheng

    Chief Embryologist – Ms Ng Lai Cheng

    Ms Ng Lai Cheng is the chief embryologist of Mount Elizabeth Fertility Centre at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. Ms Lai Cheng holds a Masters degree in Reproductive Endocrinology from the National University of Singapore (NUS). She has been involved in embryology since 1994.

    Previously a trainer and tutor of the Master of Clinical Embryology Programme organised by Department of Obstetrics and Gynaecology, NUS, she has trained more than 60 embryologists in the region. They are currently working in Singapore, Indonesia, Malaysia, Thailand, Philipines, Vietnam, India, Pakistan, Sri Lanka, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong, Taiwan, China and the United Kingdom.

    Besides her true passion, embryology, Ms Lai Cheng has done extensive training and research in blastocyst co-culture systems in its early days. She has been culturing blastocysts since year 1993, first as part of a pioneering animal research co-culture team in blastocyst culture and transfer and later on in clinical embryology. This has contributed to her excellent clinical work.

    Having more than 20 years of experience in clinical embryology, she has performed more than 9000 IVF laboratory procedures and has contributed to more than 3000 IVF babies born worldwide.

    Senior Embryologist - Tan Yen Leng

    Senior Embryologist – Ms Tan Yen Leng

    Ms Tan Yen Leng is a senior embryologist at Mount Elizabeth Fertility Centre in Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. She is experienced all aspects of assisted reproductive techniques (ART), from andrology services to in vitro fertilisation (IVF) procedures, with specific expertise in embryo cryopreservation, thawing of gametes and embryos, and blastocyst culture.

    Ms Yen Leng holds a Bachelor of Science in Microbiology. She joined Mount Elizabeth Fertility Centre at Mount Elizabeth Hospital in 2004, where she works in our advanced full services laboratory that is equipped with the latest technologies in assisted reproductive techniques (ART) and IVF.

    To date, Ms Yen Leng has 9 years of experience as an embryologist and a mentor coaching new medical technologists and junior embryologists. Ms Yen Leng has helped thousands of childless couples to achieve their dream of having a baby and start their own families.

    Psychologist - Siti Aisyah Eilyaas

    Siti Aisyah Eilyaas

    Siti Aisyah Eilyaas is a clinical psychologist and counsellor at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. She provides general mental health services in the form of psychological assessments and customised treatment plans for patients and family members.

    In fertility counselling, Siti provides emotional support to patients experiencing distress caused by fertility issues and treatment, social pressure and family pressure. Patients are assisted to explore, understand and resolve issues related to their fertility and clarify ways of dealing with problems more effectively.

    Siti completed her Master of Psychology (Clinical) degree from the joint National University of Singapore-University of Melbourne programme. She is a Registered Psychologist with the Singapore Psychological Society and has a general registration with the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency.

    She previously served at the Singapore Prison Service from 2005 – 2014 as a counsellor and psychologist. Her work at the prisons included conducting group drug treatment programmes, general and sexual violence intervention, and individual therapy for offenders with mental illness. She also carried out psychological assessments to aid judges and the prisons management in their sentencing and release of offenders.

    In addition to her forensic experience, Siti has previously worked with intellectually disabled children in a special school and has lectured undergraduate psychology courses. She has completed internships at the Institute of Mental Health, the National University Hospital (NUH) and the Applied Behaviour Consultants Centre of Singapore.
