Haematologic disorders affect blood and blood-forming organs. Some of these disorders are congenital, while others are acquired.
Examples of haematologic disorders include blood cancers and other benign blood disorders like haemoglobinopathies, bleeding and clotting disorders.
Haematologic conditions affect red blood cells, white blood cells, platelets, bone marrow, lymph nodes or the spleen. They include:
