临床基因检测与直接面向消费者的基因检测有何不同？
直接面向消费者（商业）的基因检测主要用于非临床目的，如指导你的健康、确定你的祖先和了解你的原籍国。
然而，直接面向消费者的基因检测是有限的，不够准确，无法检测出潜在的健康问题，因此不能用于做出明智的医疗决定。
而临床（医疗级）基因检测则更为复杂，从基因咨询过程、结果分析到潜在诊断，自始至终都由经认证的临床医生进行操作和监督。与直接面向消费者的基因检测相比，临床基因检测的主要目的是评估你的遗传背景，发现 DNA 中潜在的变异和突变。
