Experience

Dr Jackson Jiang is a hand surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.

He has special interests in hand trauma and wrist injuries. He also has experience treating high-demand athletes for hand injuries and this includes working with occupational hand therapists for conditioning to prevent future injuries.

Dr Jiang was a former director of the hand, wrist and reconstructive microsurgery service at Sengkang General Hospital (SKH). He is currently a visiting consultant at several hospitals including in the department of hand and reconstructive medicine at Singapore General Hospital, in the department of orthopaedic surgery at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, and in the department of orthopaedic surgery at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital.

He completed his basic medical degree and hand surgery specialist training in Singapore. Dr Jiang then spent a year furthering his training in Wrightington Hospital, UK under the Health Manpower Development Plan award. He started the hand surgery service at SKH as well as the wrist arthroscopic service there, including the technique of arthroscopic bone grafting for scaphoid fracture non-unions. He has been practising medicine for more than 15 years.

Besides his clinical work, Dr Jiang was a clinical lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and an adjunct assistant professor at Duke-NUS Medical School.

He has been awarded the SingHealth Star Award, Singapore Health Quality Service Award and the SingHealth Service with a Heart Award.
