Dr Annabelle Tay is an ear, nose and throat (ENT) surgeon at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.
She has experience in both routine and complex surgical procedures specialising in paediatric airway reconstruction surgery for children with congenital and acquired airway stenosis. Her other interest is in paediatric sleep apnoea and hearing loss.
Dr Tay was a senior consultant in the department of otolaryngology – head and neck surgery at the National University Hospital and a visiting consultant at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital.
She graduated from the National University of Singapore. She was awarded an Academic Medicine Development Award for a paediatric otolaryngology fellowship and spent 1 year at the Texas Children’s Hospital, USA, as a clinical fellow in its American ENT board-accredited paediatric otolaryngology fellowship programme. She has also done an observership at the Cincinnati Children’s Hospital, USA. She is a fellow of the Royal College of Physicians & Surgeons of Glasgow, Scotland. She has been practising medicine for more than 15 years.
Dr Tay has published in peer-reviewed scientific journals and had presented her research at regional and international meetings.
She is interested in improving paediatric tracheostomy care and tonsillectomy care in the hospital and community in Singapore and the region.
