Dr Peter Goh is a diagnostic radiologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.
His subspecialty interests are interventional oncology including tumour ablation, vascular angioplasty and stenting, musculoskeletal, hepatobiliary and urological interventions.
Dr Goh is currently the group medical director of Parkway Radiology. He was formerly the clinical director of the department of radiology at Mount Elizabeth Hospital.
He graduated from the National University of Singapore and went on to complete his further degree in diagnostic radiology, being conferred as fellow of the Royal College of Radiologists, UK. He subspecialised in vascular and interventional radiology at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH) and was later awarded the Health Manpower Development Plan scholarship for vascular and interventional radiology at Guy’s and St Thomas’ NHS Foundation Trust, UK.
Upon his return to TTSH, Dr Goh helped introduce several new interventional services such as oesophageal and rectal stenting, biliary stenting, tunnelled dialysis catheter and peripherally inserted central catheter line insertions, and percutaneous vertebroplasty. He joined Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Parkway Radiology, and helped establish interventional radiology services in the private sector in Singapore. Over the years, he introduced several image-guided procedures locally, including local ablation of tumours, percutaneous vertebroplasty and percutaneous nucleoplasty. He has been practising medicine for more than 35 years.
Dr Goh was a regional proctor for endovascular abdominal aortic repair and thoracic endovascular aortic repair for Medtronic, USA, and for selective internal radiation therapy for Sirtex, USA. He has delivered numerous lectures and conducted workshops at international conferences for many of these procedures.
He was the chair of the cardiovascular and interventional radiology subsection of the Singapore Radiological Society. He currently holds membership in the Society of Interventional Radiology, and the Asia-Pacific Society of Cardiovascular and Interventional Radiology. He is also a fellow of the Cardiovascular and Interventional Society of Europe and a founding member of the Asia-Pacific Congress of Interventional Oncology.
