  • Dr Chin Pak Lin is an orthopaedic surgeon practising at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore. He specialises in hip and knee surgery, as well as joint preservation.
  • Dr Chin graduated from the National University of Singapore in 1998. He obtained both his postgraduate Membership of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh and his Master of Medicine in orthopaedic surgery in 2003. He subsequently obtained his Fellowship of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in orthopaedic surgery in 2007.
  • Dr Chin completed his orthopaedic fellowship under the auspices of the Singapore Government Ministry of Health Training Scholarship at the Manchester Royal Infirmary in the United Kingdom in the field of revision joint arthroplasty.
  • Dr Chin was a consultant within the adult reconstructive service in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery at the Singapore General Hospital (SGH) and served as an adjunct assistant professor at the Duke-NUS post-graduate School of Medicine.
  • Dr Chin has pioneered several key developments in Singapore such as computer-aided orthopaedic surgery, a computerised post-op data entry system, robotic knee surgery, revision hip and knee surgery, as well as the setting up of the Bone Bank at SGH.
  • Dr Chin has an active interest in complex joint replacement surgery. His contribution lies with his expertise and experience in hip and knee replacement surgeries using the latest techniques for joint preservation techniques to major reconstruction. He is a regional expert in computer-aided techniques and most recently robotic-assisted surgery.
  • Dr Chin frequently shares his experience in the region through courses and medical exchange programmes and volunteers at the Ang Mo Kio Community Hospital and the Singapore International Foundation (SIF) specialist project in Cambodia.
