  • Dr Andy Wee Teck Huat is an orthopaedic surgeon currently practising at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore. Dr Wee’s special interests are in arthoscopy of the knee, shoulder, elbow, hip and ankle, especially in sports injuries and shoulder/elbow surgery.
  • Dr Andy Wee graduated with his Bachelor’s degree from National University of Singapore in 1999. He subsequently completed his fellowship examinations from the Royal College of Surgeons in Edinburgh and earned his Masters degree in Orthopaedics, as well as the United States Medical Licensing Examination for the Education for Foreign Medical Graduates certification.
  • Dr Andy Wee received the Health Development Manpower Programme scholarship that allowed him to undergo the American Orthopaedic Society for Sports Medicine accredited Orthopaedic Sports Medicine Fellowship at the Fowler Kennedy Sports Medicine Clinic in Ontario, Canada, and also his shoulder and elbow fellowship at Mayo Clinic, Minnesota, USA under the mentorship of Dr Bernard F. Morrey.
  • Dr Andy Wee has experience working in the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery and Department of Hand Surgery in Alexandra Hospital, Tan Tock Seng Hospital, National University Hospital, Singapore General Hospital and KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital. In 2013, Dr Wee was appointed the head of the Department of Orthopaedics at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, where he was also senior consultant orthopaedic surgeon. He still holds the position of visiting consultant at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital and Changi General Hospital.
  • Dr Andy Wee is very active in the medical community. He is a member of the Singapore Medical Association, the Singapore Orthopaedic Association, and an executive committee member of the Sports Medicine Association of Singapore. He is also a memer of the Canadian Academy of Sports and Exercise Medicine, the International Federation of Sports Medicine, the American Academy of Orthopaedic Surgeons, the Arthoscopic Association of North America, and the International Society of Arthoroscopy, Knee Surgery and Orthopaedic Sports Medicine.
  • Dr Andy Wee is a strong believer in sharing his medical knowledge and educating the next generation of surgeons. He is an adjunct assistant professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and was a core clinical faculty member at the Orthopaedic Residency Programme of the National Healthcare Group Singapore.
  • Dr Andy Wee has won awards for his talks and presentations in the region and worldwide. He received the Best Poster Presentation at the Paediatric Orthopaedic Society of North America Annual Meeting in 2010 and the Young Orthopaedic Investigator Award for best basic science research paper presented at the Combined Singapore Orthopaedic Association and ASEAN Orthopaedic Association Annual Meeting.
