  • Dr Steven Kum received his MBBS medical degree from NUS and subsequently embarked on his surgical training with the Royal College of Surgeons, obtaining his MMed, MRCS and FRCS from the Royal College of Surgeons, Edinburgh. His Postgraduate Fellowship in Vascular and Endovascular Surgery was done in Prince of Wales Hospital, Sydney as well as the renowned Heart Centre/Park Hospital in Leipzig, Germany where he honed his skills in Endovascular Interventions. Dr Kum completed a Fellowship on Advanced Techniques in Diabetic Limb Salvage in Universita Vita Salute San Raffaele, Centro Interdipartimentale per la Cura del Piede Diabetico, Milan Italy where he further subspecialized in Advanced Wound Care techniques. Dr Kum is a Fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore (FAMS), a member of the International Society of Endovasclar Specialist (ISES) and the American College of Phlebology (ACP) and is also a member of the National Diabetic Foot Workgroup. Dr Kum is a clinical proctor and advisor for several endovascular companies including Medtronic, Abbott, Covidien and BIOTRONIK. He actively participates, lectures and helps organize several Endovascular conferences around the region. Dr Kum has also given numerous talks to the public and fellow health care providers and participates in Residency Training for Surgeons in training. He volunteers his time to Mercy Community Care and has been involved in medical relief missions. His current interest include the Multidisciplinary Team approach to Diabetic Limb Salvage, Advanced techniques in Endovascular Interventions as well as Wound Care therapies.
