Register Your Child's Birth

Birth registration services are no longer available in hospitals. Once your child is born, you must register their birth through the LifeSG app or website within 42 days.

To register through the LifeSG app, either you or your spouse must:

  • Be a Singapore citizen, permanent resident or long-term pass (FIN) holder

  • Be the biological parent of your child

If you are not eligible for Singpass, you may register your child’s birth on the LifeSG website.

Either you or your spouse may submit the registration as the main applicant. If only 1 parent is eligible for Singpass, that parent should start the registration.
