Dr Christine Yau is an ophthalmologist at Mount Elizabeth Hospital, Singapore.
She is a fellowship-trained neuro-ophthalmologist and is also adept in general ophthalmology and cataract surgery.
She was previously a consultant in the department of neuro-ophthalmology at the Singapore National Eye Centre (SNEC). She is currently a visiting consultant at Khoo Teck Puat Hospital, running its neuro-ophthalmology service.
Dr Yau graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS). She completed her ophthalmology residency at SNEC and obtained her master’s. She was admitted as a fellow of the Academy of Medicine, Singapore and underwent her advanced clinical specialist training in neuro-ophthalmology at SNEC.
She was previously a clinical assistant professor in the SingHealth Duke-NUS ophthalmology and visual sciences academic clinical programme, and served as faculty on several postgraduate courses, teaching neuro-ophthalmology and cataract surgery.
She regularly volunteers at outreach programmes such as community eye screening projects and public forums.
Dr Yau is a recipient of the Singapore Health Quality Service Award.
