Dr Ikram Hussain is a gastroenterologist at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore.
He manages a broad range of digestive and liver conditions, and is skilled in routine and advanced endoscopic procedures, including endoscopic retrograde cholangiopancreatography, endoscopic ultrasound, deep enteroscopy, luminal stenting and cholangioscopy.
Prior to joining private practice, Dr Hussain was a senior consultant in the department of gastroenterology and hepatology at Woodlands Health Campus.
Dr Hussain graduated from All India Institute of Medical Sciences, India, and then got his master’s at the National University of Singapore. He became a member of the Royal College of Physicians, UK. He subsequently underwent advanced endoscopy training at the Royal Free Hospital and University College London, UK under the Health Manpower Development Plan scholarship. He was a consultant gastroenterologist at the University Hospital of North Durham in the UK. He has been practising medicine for more than 15 years.
Beyond his clinical work, he was a clinical lecturer at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine and a clinical teacher at Lee Kong Chian School of Medicine.
