Dr Benji Lim is an interventional cardiologist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
He is experienced in coronary angiography and angioplasty. His clinical interests include the prevention and management of coronary artery disease and its risk factors, such as diabetes, hypertension and hypercholesterolaemia.
Prior to joining private practice, Dr Lim was a senior consultant cardiologist at Changi General Hospital and visiting consultant at the National Heart Centre Singapore.
He graduated from Trinity College Dublin, Ireland, completed his membership of the Royal College of Physicians, UK, and did his advanced specialist training in cardiology. He then underwent a fellowship in interventional cardiology at Inselspital, University Hospital of Bern, Switzerland. He has performed more than 5,000 coronary procedures and more than 2,000 angioplasties as the primary operator.
Besides his clinical work, Dr Lim served as associate programme director of the SingHealth cardiology senior residency programme, and held academic appointments such as clinical assistant professor at SingHealth Duke-NUS and senior clinical lecturer at the National University of Singapore.
His research has been published in international journals such as Circulation and the Journal of the Asian Pacific Society of Cardiology. He is a regular speaker at regional and international conferences.
Dr Lim has received multiple awards including the SingHealth Quality Service awards.
