Dr Hazel Anne Lin is an ophthalmologist at Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, Singapore.
She specialises in neuro-ophthalmology and cataract surgery. She is proficient in the management of complex cataracts, femtosecond laser-assisted surgery and the use of premium intraocular lenses.
As a neuro-ophthalmologist, she works closely with neurologists and neurosurgeons, managing eye conditions related to brain disorders such as tumours, strokes, inflammation and genetic conditions in children and adults.
In addition, Dr Lin manages general ophthalmic conditions in children and adults, including refractive errors, dry eyes, glaucoma, macular degeneration, diabetic retinopathy and floaters. She is experienced in performing ophthalmic lasers, intravitreal injections and Botox for facial spasms.
Prior to joining private practice, Dr Lin was a senior consultant and former deputy head of department at the National University Hospital’s (NUH) department of ophthalmology. She continues to serve as a visiting senior consultant there.
She graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS). She then underwent specialty training in ophthalmology at NUH and obtained her master’s degree at NUS. Upon completion of her specialist training in ophthalmology, she embarked on subspecialty training in neuro-ophthalmology and cataract surgery.
At NUH, Dr Lin concurrently served as core faculty of the residency programme. Her past appointments include director of clinical services and member of the operating theatre committee at NUH. She is an adjunct assistant professor in ophthalmology at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine.
She is a recipient of the Eye and Vision Health Award.
