Dr Ruben Manohara is an orthopaedic surgeon at Gleneagles Hospital, Singapore.
His clinical focus is on shoulder and elbow conditions, sports injuries and trauma surgery. He has expertise in treating complex fractures, joint degeneration, and upper limb sports-related injuries using arthroscopic and minimally invasive techniques. He is proficient in joint replacements, arthroscopy and modern surgical approaches that prioritise early recovery and long-term function.
Prior to private practice, Dr Manohara served as a consultant orthopaedic surgeon at the National University Hospital. There, he was part of both the shoulder and elbow, and trauma divisions, caring for patients with a wide range of upper limb conditions.
He graduated from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and completed his orthopaedic training locally, later advancing his skills through a clinical fellowship at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, UK. He has been practising medicine for more than 20 years.
Beyond his clinical work, he is an assistant professor with NUS’ department of orthopaedic surgery, teaching both medical students and residents.
Dr Manohara is regularly invited to speak and conduct surgical training across the Asia-Pacific region, and is a member of AO Trauma and the Singapore Shoulder and Elbow Society.
He has contributed to peer-reviewed journals, presented at numerous conferences and authored a chapter in an orthopaedic science textbook.
