Dr Stephanie Young is an ophthalmologist at Parkway East Hospital, Singapore.

She specialises in periocular rejuvenation from Botox A, dermal fillers, eye-lid surgeries and brow lifts. She also has a special interest in ophthalmic plastic and reconstructive surgery of the eyelids, lacrimal system and orbit.

She is particularly interested in eyelid surgery for functional and cosmetic indications, and treats many patients with droopy eyelids, eyelid malpositions, double eyelid creation and more. She is also well-versed in general ophthalmology and manages conditions such as dry eyes and tearing, and performs screening for eye disorders like cataracts, glaucoma and diabetic retinopathy.

Dr Young was a consultant in the ophthalmology department at the National University Hospital (NUH) and continues to be a visiting consultant there.

After completion of her ophthalmology training at NUH and surgically intensive fellowship in orbital, oculofacial surgery and ophthalmic oncology, she spent a year at the Samsung Medical Center, South Korea. During her time there, she gained exposure to functional and aesthetic eyelid surgery, endoscopic lacrimal surgery and complex orbital surgery. She has obtained fellowships from the Royal College of Ophthalmologists, UK and Academy of Medicine, Singapore.

Dr Young is an honorary assistant adjunct professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. She is also active in oculoplastic-related research and has published more than 40 papers on the subject in peer-reviewed journals and several book chapters.

She sits on the executive committee of the Singapore Women's Association, and is the chairperson of its Singapore vision care programme, which provides free eye screening for the community. She has also been on several cataract and oculoplastic trips to remote areas in need of eyecare such as China, Myanmar and Cambodia.
