Dr Ivan Tham

Dr Ivan Tham is a radiation oncologist with years of experience in the treatment of complex cancers, particularly head and neck malignancies, lung cancer and hepatocellular carcinoma.

His clinical practice spans a broad range of advanced radiotherapy techniques, including stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), stereotactic body radiotherapy (SBRT), intensity modulated radiotherapy (IMRT), image-guided radiotherapy (IGRT), conformal radiotherapy (3DCRT), and proton therapy.

Dr Tham has also played a key role in advancing cancer care at national and regional levels. He has previously served as the head of department at the National University Hospital and Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and has contributed to national advisory committees on proton beam therapy and cancer care.

Dr Lee Yuh Shan

Dr Lee Yuh Shan is a haematologist with specialised expertise in blood cancers, including lymphoma and myeloma, as well as advanced treatments such as haematopoietic stem cell transplantation and chimeric antigen receptor (CAR) T-cell therapy. 

His clinical practice focuses on managing complex and high-risk haematological malignancies, with a particular interest in lymphoma and novel treatment approaches. He has spent over a decade at SGH, where he served as the director of the lymphoma service and was the lymphoma lead at the SingHealth Duke Blood Cancer Centre.

He further developed his expertise in lymphoma at the National Institutes of Health in the United States. There, he gained first-hand experience in clinical trials involving novel therapies for chronic lymphocytic leukaemia and aggressive lymphomas, and further developed expertise in the treatment of primary central nervous system lymphoma. He remains actively involved in clinical research, investigator-initiated trials and collaborative work locally and regionally.

Dr Melissa Teo

Dr Melissa Teo is a general surgeon and surgical oncologist with experience in the management of colorectal and lower gastrointestinal cancers, as well as complex abdominal and pelvic malignancies.

She has a particular clinical focus on peritoneal surface malignancies and is widely recognised for her expertise in cytoreductive surgery combined with hyperthermic intraperitoneal chemotherapy (CRS HIPEC), a specialised approach used in selected advanced cancers.

Formerly the head of surgical oncology at the National Cancer Centre Singapore, she founded and led the Centre of Peritoneal and Pelvic Disease, and continues to serve as a visiting consultant at NCCS. She is currently the president of the Asian Peritoneal Surface Malignancy Group.

Dr Peter Goh

Dr Peter Goh is a diagnostic and interventional radiologist and the group medical director of Parkway Radiology.

His subspecialty interests lie in interventional oncology, particularly in the management of liver cancer through procedures such as transarterial chemoembolisation (TACE) and tumour ablation. He is also experienced in a wide range of vascular and non-vascular interventions, including embolotherapy, angioplasty and stenting, as well as musculoskeletal, hepatobiliary and urological procedures.

He has held leadership roles within the Singapore Radiological Society and is an active member of regional and international interventional radiology societies. A founding member of the Asia-Pacific Congress of Interventional Oncology, he remains actively involved in education, clinical innovation and advancing the role of interventional radiology in modern cancer care.

Dr Richard Quek

Dr Richard Quek is a medical oncologist with broad experience in general medical oncology and subspecialty expertise in sarcoma, gastrointestinal stromal tumours (GIST), melanoma and lymphoma.

His clinical practice focuses on the management of rare and complex cancers, where accurate diagnosis, multidisciplinary coordination and individualised treatment planning are especially critical.

He previously served as the deputy head of the division of medical oncology at National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS), and was the programme director of the SingHealth Medical Oncology Senior Residency Programme. He founded the Singapore Sarcoma Consortium and the Asian Sarcoma Consortium, reflecting his commitment to advancing care for rare cancers through regional collaboration.

Dr Sabrina Ngaserin

Dr Sabrina Ngaserin is a breast surgeon with dual subspecialty expertise in oncoplastic and minimally invasive breast surgery.

She is among the few breast surgeons in Singapore trained in advanced techniques that aim to eradicate cancer while preserving breast aesthetics, function and quality of life. Her clinical practice centres on delivering personalised surgical solutions that balance oncological safety with patients’ physical and emotional wellbeing.

Prior to entering private practice, Dr Ngaserin held senior leadership roles in the public sector, including the head of breast surgery at Sengkang General Hospital and chief of breast service at the SingHealth Duke-NUS Breast Centre. She continues to serve as a visiting senior consultant at the National University Hospital and the SingHealth Duke-NUS Breast Centre.

Dr See Hui Ti

Dr See Hui Ti is a medical oncologist with experience in the management of breast and gynaecological cancers.

She previously served as a consultant in medical oncology at the National Cancer Centre Singapore and as a visiting consultant at KK Women’s and Children’s Hospital, where she specialised in adult breast and gynaecological cancers.

She is an active member of international and local professional bodies, including the International Gynecologic Cancer Society, the American Society of Clinical Oncology and the Singapore Medical Association, and previously served on the executive committee of the Singapore Society of Oncology.

Dr Steve Yang

Dr Steve Yang is a respiratory physician with a strong interest in respiratory critical care, interstitial lung disease, as well as end-stage lung diseases.

He received training in respiratory medicine and intensive care medicine at the Singapore General Hospital, and further trained in intensive care medicine and interstitial lung disease at the University of Washington Medical Centre in Seattle, USA.

Dr Yang also serves as the chairman of IRB-D, a subcommittee of the SingHealth Centralised International Review Board (CIRB).

Dr Tan Min-Han

Dr Tan Min-Han is a medical oncologist with expertise in cancer genomics and precision medicine, with a clinical focus on how molecular profiling can support earlier cancer detection and more individualised treatment strategies.

Dr Tan joined A*STAR in 2011, where he led the Laboratory of Systems Medicine and focused on translating research discoveries into clinically meaningful applications.

In 2016, Dr Tan founded Lucence to commercialise advanced liquid biopsy technologies developed from his research work. The company operates laboratories in Singapore and the US, providing ultra-deep molecular profiling to support early cancer detection and treatment decision-making. Under his leadership, Lucence has expanded into precision health, integrating multi-cancer screening with quantitative cardiovascular risk assessment.

Dr Tan Yung Khan

Dr Tan Yung Khan is a urologist with expertise in the management of prostate and kidney cancers, kidney stone disease, bladder conditions and men’s health.

He previously served as the director of endourology and minimally invasive surgery at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, and continues to contribute to the public sector as a visiting consultant.

He was among the early adopters of advanced urological procedures such as GreenLight prostate vaporisation, UroNav fusion prostate biopsy and supine percutaneous nephrolithotomy (PCNL). He has also introduced minimally invasive treatment approaches for prostate conditions and kidney stone disease, and remains actively involved in advancing the use of technology in urological surgery.

Dr Tanujaa Rajasekaran

Dr Tanujaa Rajasekaran is a medical oncologist with subspecialty interests in the management of lung, genitourinary, breast, and head and neck cancers, as well as geriatric oncology.

Her clinical practice encompasses the care of patients across a wide age range, with particular attention to the complexities of cancer treatment in older adults.

Dr Tanujaa served as a consultant at the National Cancer Centre Singapore (NCCS) and the medical director of the oncology unit at Changi General Hospital. She is a member of professional organisations including the American Society of Clinical Oncology, the European Society of Medical Oncology and the International Society of Geriatric Oncology, for which she serves as Singapore’s national representative.

Dr Wong Siew Wei

Dr Wong Siew Wei is a medical oncologist with experience in the management of prostate, kidney, bladder, upper gastrointestinal and lung cancers.

His clinical practice focuses on delivering coordinated, multidisciplinary cancer care across these tumour types, with attention to both disease control and symptom management.

He served as a consultant medical oncologist at Johns Hopkins Singapore International Medical Centre and Tan Tock Seng Hospital. During this period, he was actively involved in multidisciplinary tumour boards for gastrointestinal, thoracic and genitourinary cancers, and led several clinical trials. He has also held leadership and educational roles, including programme director of the National Healthcare Group Medical Oncology Training Programme and membership on Tan Tock Seng Hospital’s Drug and Therapeutics Committee.

Mr Gerard Wong

Mr Gerard Wong is a principal dietitian who supports cancer patients across their treatment and recovery journey, with a focus on addressing nutritional challenges before, during and after cancer therapy.

In addition to clinical consultations, Gerard conducts nutrition workshops locally and overseas, and organises guided supermarket tours to help patients and caregivers make informed food choices. His approach emphasises translating evidence-based nutrition guidance into everyday habits that patients can realistically maintain.

He is experienced in counselling patients with chronic diseases, and also supported elite athletes in Singapore and Australia in preparation for regional and international competitions. His earlier work in Australia included supporting children with type 1 diabetes and their families, managing type 2 and gestational diabetes, and helping indigenous Australians with kidney failure bridge cultural and language barriers to optimise dietary care while on dialysis.

Ms Wa Wa Aung

Ms Wa Wa Aung is a counsellor who provides psychosocial and emotional support to cancer patients and their caregivers throughout the cancer journey.

She draws on evidence-based therapeutic approaches including cognitive behavioural therapy, solution-focused brief therapy, acceptance and commitment therapy, motivational interviewing and mindfulness-based interventions.

In addition to individual counselling, Wa Wa facilitates group conversations for cancer patients and caregivers, and conducts training sessions and talks on psychosocial aspects of cancer care. She contributes to publications focused on supporting patients and their loved ones, and is a provisional clinical member of the Singapore Association for Counselling.

Ms Alicia Huang

Ms Alicia Huang, 42, is a breast cancer survivor and CanFRiEND who brings courage and companionship to those facing cancer. She first supported both her parents through cancer and later faced the journey as a patient herself.

Alicia approached her own breast cancer diagnosis with determination and optimism. Allowing her loved ones to support her became an important part of her healing journey. Through this experience, she came to recognise the power of a strong support system in navigating one of life’s most difficult moments.

Today, she gives back to the community, walking alongside others on their cancer journey. Alicia hopes to inspire others to find hope and draw strength, even through the toughest challenges.

Mr Tan Kang Fun (KF)

Mr Tan Kang Fun (KF), 64, is a lung cancer survivor who has embraced life with acceptance and perseverance. Since his diagnosis in 2012, he has stayed strong, battling through the side effects of treatment and emerging even stronger. 

With the unwavering support of his wife, Adeline, he has focused on maintaining his health and quality of life through a combination of a strict diet, consistent exercise regimen, and mindful living for more than a decade. 

Today, KF continues to enjoy the activities he loves, sharing his story to encourage those walking a similar path. His journey is a testament to determination, endurance, and the power of embracing life fully, even in the face of illness.

Ms Yvonne Ang

Ms Yvonne Ang was just 30 years old when she was diagnosed with breast cancer.

Forced to step away from her dream job as a flight attendant and put her family plans on hold, she focused fully on treatment and recovery.

With the support of her Integrated Shield Plan and Critical Illness policy, Yvonne was able to concentrate on getting well, without worrying about medical costs or loss of income. Today, a cancer survivor, she gives back by sharing her journey to raise awareness on early detection.

As a senior financial advisor, Yvonne advocates for insurance and income protection, believing they provide the freedom and peace of mind needed to focus on recovery when it matters most.
